NEW Elan E6 Wins Nomination for the European Yacht of the Year Award 

The new Elan E6 is now officially nominated for the European Yacht of the Year Award (EYOTY) in the category of best performance cruiser.

The E6 was designed by a “dream team” of specialists: Humphreys Yacht Design did the naval architecture, Pininfarina did the styling, Gurit refined the composite production and Elan led the project and constructed the yacht. It’s intended for serious sailors that expect great performance but intend to use it for leisure with family and friends as well. The EYOTY nomination is an important confirmation of the success of the project and is the most sought-after accolade in the yachting business and confirmation of excellence. 

The winner will be announced at the Boot Dusseldorf Boat Show in January

The Elan E6 has had an incredible first few months since its launch in March, winning the prestigious design award in the category for Sailing Yachts at the 11th International Yacht & Aviation Awards in May.  Then in June winning the Red Dot: Product Design 2022 Award.  Such accolades speaks volumes about the E6’s impact on the market.

Pedigree line up of new models debuting at the Cannes Yachting Festival
6th – 12th September

Europe has been awash with Australians taking the chance to sail the Greek or Croatian islands, go hiking, tour wine regions or just visit friends and family under the summer sun.
 
France is beckoning again for many sailors, with the Cannes Yachting Festival 2022 hoisting its sails from September 6-11 on the Côte d’Azur.
 
The Cannes Yachting Festival is expecting 54,000 visitors to check out 120 new boats, ranging from 10-28 metres, in the sailing area in Port Canto. In the Old Port, in the heart of Cannes, there will be 570 exhibitors and 620 motor boats from five to 50 metres. The Old Port has four areas, electric boats, motorised multihulls, sea trials and outboard/inboard engines.
 
There is also a Luxury Gallery inside the Palais des Festivals in the Old Port. This space is all about luxury and craftsmanship.

Resounding Success at the
Sydney International Boat Show

The Sydney International Boatshow was a huge success for Performance Cruising Yachts. The weather was perfect drawing crowds of boat lovers to Darling Harbour. The Dufour 48 Catamaran was a star, with massive queues to get onboard to have a look at what all the fuss was about. The Elan GT6 was in equally hot demand, with many saying it was the star of the show. Our third boat, the Elan Impression 40.1, attracted significant interest, especially for our yacht share program on Sydney Harbour. Many shares have been sold already as a result of the show, and we have taken orders for yachts as well.
