Frontman and owner, Carl Hanley and his team are responsible for the keel and rudder installations along with any other shipwright services we require. They are very professional and take immense care to ensure the work is performed as per factory specification.

The team and Woolwich Dock are great to deal with and very approachable, with a real passion for what they do. The have proven to be very accommodating and indeed go the distance ensuring our commissioning schedules are met.

Woolwich Dock, one of the great historic shipyards of Sydney Harbour, provides boat owners with berthing and quality repair and maintenance services. The yard is run by David Kellet, who brings a wealth of sailing and business knowledge to the yard and is well respected by the sailing community.

David began his career in yacht rigging at All Spars in 1982 and has remained within the marine industry ever since.

He is an avid racer, sailing enthusiast and expert in the assembly, tuning and optimising yacht rigging throughout the Sydney basin. David also provides on-going advice, support and after-market installations to our owners and is indeed a go to guy for all things rigging.

Jan began his career, serving as a 2nd Engineer in the Swedish Merchant Navy; he then qualified as a Marine Engineer in the early 1970’s. He later started the business and became a Volvo Authorised Dealer providing a range of services including new installation, servicing, re-building and offers the full range of Volvo Penta products. He is also a Kohler Generator dealer.

Jan and his team perform the all pre-delivery inspections to the Elan and Dufour new yachts we import ensuring that the engine specifications are correct well before we begin the sea trails as part of our commissioning process. Jan handles the Volvo warranty registration from the time of hand over and is our main point of contact for all matters concerning the operation of the engines.

Jan is very much involved in the Volvo Penta Partner network and attends regular training sessions and e-learning workshops. We have found his service to be very professional and recommend him to our owners for the scheduled servicing.
