Introducing the
New Elan GT6 Explorer

We are thrilled to announce Elan Yachts has unveiled a new addition to their fleet, the Elan GT6 Explorer, also known as the Elan GT6 X in its abbreviated form. As suggested by its name, the Explorer is built on the platform of the multi-award-winning GT6—a luxurious 49-foot cruiser designed in collaboration with Studio F. A. Porsche. Notably, it was one of the first sub-50-foot yachts of its kind to feature a full flush deck, clad in synthetic teak as standard.

The Elan GT6 Explorer is designed for adventurous sailors aiming to explore the world’s seas without sacrificing luxury or aesthetic appeal. The Explorer seeks to align practical functionality with high-end design. It boasts an array of modern equipment, striking carbon cockpit arch, custom made davits, handcrafted furniture, and the latest in composite technology.

In the world of blue water cruising, range and autonomy are paramount, and the Explorer rises to the occasion. It is equipped with a robust 500-litre fuel tank capacity and the flexibility to accommodate up to six 140 Ah service lead-acid or LiPo batteries, which can be effortlessly charged by solar panels. Elevating its self-sufficiency, the yacht can be outfitted with a water maker capable of producing 100 litres per hour and a generator delivering a maximum output of 6400 W, ensuring you’re well-prepared for extended journeys on the open sea.

The yacht boasts a dedicated forward-facing chart table, strategically positioned to ensure the skipper’s easy access to essential navigation equipment. The saloon features a spacious seating area to relax with family and friends. Positioned directly above the keel, the forward-galley layout provides a stable platform that makes cooking underway safe and easy.

Owners have the option to select between a two-cabin or three-cabin layout. Choosing the two-cabin configuration repurposes the third cabin into a versatile utility hold. This thoughtful design choice creates dedicated spaces for wet and dry storage, easily accessible from both the cockpit and the interior, or even allows for the inclusion of a washing machine, further enhancing the vessel’s practicality.

With such a high degree of design and functionality, the GT6 Explorer could easily vie for the title of the ultimate blue water cruiser available in the market.
